The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area every day. The provider point developed for intervention activities a superior influx of status sassa likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
